Maison Estate introduces exciting deli range

Maison Estate, known for the delicious food and wine served at The Kitchen, is delighted to introduce its latest addition, a new deli shop.

The deli products are freshly made on the farm using top quality ingredients sourced from the farm and surrounding areas. Be sure to pop in to pick up some delicious deli products and browse through the range of selected Weylandts homeware items on offer.

Deli 1

Charcuterie

All charcuterie is made with free range acorn fed pork, from Glen Oakes farm in the Stanford region

• Polish smoked: smoked thin polish style cured and fermented sausage
• Kabanossi: smoked thin polish style sausage, cooked and dried
• Lombardia salame: cured and fermented dry salame with garlic and pepper
• Fuet salame: cured and fermented Spanish style thin salame, paprika garlic and pepper
• Uratan: cured and fermented dry Balinese style thin sausage, turmeric, ginger and garlic
• Chorizo: cured and fermented dry Spanish style thin horse shoe shape sausage, red wine, paprika, garlic
• Fino salame: cured and fermented dry Italian style salame, red wine and fennel
• Pepperoni, cured and fermented semi dried smoked, Italian style sausage, fennel and red wine
• Belly bacon: dry cured and smoked
• Chipotle belly bacon: dry cured with house made chipotle and smoked again
• Mortadella: Emulsified cooked sausage, Italian style, pistachios and rum

Duck range

All duck products are made with The Duck Farm ducks, hormone and antibiotic free

• Duck rillettes: cured and confit duck legs, shredded and pickle onion, French style
• Duck liver parfait: Aromatics, port, duck livers blended and cooked at low temp, covered with a layer of duck fat

Chilli range

All chilli products are made with chillies grown on a neighbouring farm

• Chipotle chilli sauce: Jalapeno chillies, fermented and smoked. Aromatics and seasoning added and blended
• Srirasha chilli sauce: Fermented Thai style sauce, garlic ginger lemongrass and vinegar
• Chilli relish: wood oven roasted Jalapenos with aromatics, and blended

Classics

• Olive tapenade: Olives are from Maison olives, salted for 2 months and placed in marinade for 12 months, roasted and blended with black garlic and seasoning
• Honey: from Citrusdal area, fynbos and orange blossom
• Apricot jam: apricots are from Overberg area

Maison Estate was founded in 2005 by Weylandts CEO, Chris Weylandt. The name ‘Maison’ comes from the French word meaning Home – although Chris is passionate about traveling, the comforting memory of a meal and moments shared with friends always draws him home.
