Seven Courses, Five Wines, One Unforgettable Night at The Twelve Apostles

Some evenings are designed to be savoured slowly.

A glass of exceptional wine, beautifully prepared dishes and good company can transform an ordinary night into something truly memorable.

At The Conservatory Restaurant at The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, one such evening awaits.

  • On Friday, 27 March, guests are invited to enjoy the Beyerskloof Wine Dinner, a carefully curated culinary experience where gourmet cuisine meets some of South Africa’s most celebrated wines. Set against the elegant backdrop of the iconic Atlantic coastline, the evening promises an indulgent journey through flavour, pairing and storytelling.

A Seven-Course Culinary Journey

The dinner unfolds as a seven-course tasting experience, each dish thoughtfully created to complement a selection of five premium Beyerskloof wines.

The evening begins playfully with a snacks course of Okonomiyaki-style fries and white bait, layered with bokkoms, bonito and tangy Japanese-inspired flavours.

Guests then move into a bread course featuring basil pesto and slow-roasted tomato focaccia, paired with the beautifully balanced Synergy Cape Blend.

The journey continues with sustainable line fish tataki, accented by citrus, roasted peach and grilled avocado, paired with Chenin Blanc Pinotage, a wine that captures both freshness and character.

Bold Flavours and Classic Pairings

As the evening progresses, the flavours deepen.

A fragrant North African lamb dish, served with yoghurt flatbread, dried fruits and ras el hanout spice, pairs beautifully with the bold Kriekbult Pinotage, showcasing the signature grape that Beyerskloof has become famous for.

For the main course, guests can enjoy Karoo venison sirloin, accompanied by braised venison shank pavé, seasonal mushrooms and pumpkin with honey oats. This rich and elegant dish finds its match in the Faith Cape Blend, creating a pairing that celebrates both land and vine.

A Sweet Finale

No memorable dinner ends without dessert, and the final course delivers indulgence in style.

Guests will savour a dark chocolate torte with blackberry compote, chocolate crème and caramelised cocoa nibs, paired with Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve.

The evening concludes with a selection of delicate mignardises served with coffee and tea, offering a final sweet moment before the night draws to a close.

An Evening Designed to Be Savoured

Wine dinners are about more than just food and wine. They are about connection, discovery and the pleasure of experiencing how flavours evolve when paired thoughtfully.

At The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, this experience is elevated even further by the elegant setting and the attention to detail that defines the hotel’s dining philosophy.

For guests who appreciate fine wine, refined cuisine and the opportunity to explore South African winemaking at its best, this is an evening not to miss.
