Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst has designed a superb pairing menu matched perfectly with each of the masterly crafted wines – all in celebration of Shiraz, Grande Provence’s wine of the month.

The evening at The Restaurant at Grande Provence starts with the fynbos infused Lismore Syrah 2015 from Greyton paired with spicy masala compressed salmon.

The De Trafford Syrah 2013 CSC, a merge between Overberg and Malgas vineyards, will be paired with 12 hour confit duck ravioli coated in molten Raclette with a date and sultana puree adding a hint of sweetness.

A hearty vine smoked BBQ beef rib pastille holds the promise of a perfect companion for the old world, Côtes du Rhône-style Oldenburg Vineyards Syrah 2013.

For dessert, the fruit forward Grande Provence Shiraz 2012 teeming with ripe berries and plums, is just what the chef has ordered for his caramalised white chocolate pot au crème, hazelnut crémeux and salted caramel popcorn.

With the event taking place on a Friday, why not take advantage of the Grande Provence Heartland Offer and make a weekend of it? The Heartland Offer provides exclusive winter rates for the Owner’s Cottage as well as La Provençale Villa in the Vineyards for group bookings.

The Cabernet Sauvignon Wine & Dine Collaboration dinner takes place at The Restaurant at Grande Provence at 19h00. To book your seat at R695 per person, call 021 876 8600 or e-mail restaurant@grandeprovence.co.za.
