Hope at Diemersfontein opens in the Cape Winelands

After 3 years of a Covid-19 hiatus, Diemersfontein are very proud to announce that they have a new restaurant on the estate, Hope@Diemersfontein! 

A new endeavour by chef Dylan Smith, owner of The Cellar restaurant at Honeywood lodge and spa in Sea Park, Kwazulu-Natal, which he successfully operated for the past 13 years.

Hope offers contemporary bistro food that has been carefully crafted by their team of chefs.

Their style of food draws inspiration from all over the world. Inspired by South Africa’s unique heritage, they incorporate flavours, textures and styles to tease the palate and complement Diemersfontein’s beautiful wines. The team is eager to provide a warm and welcoming experience that has been enjoyed at The Cellar for the last 13 years.

David Fouche’, Hope’s head chef and general manager runs all local operations with the love and passion that embodies the core ethos of both The Cellar and Diemersfontein. David is a trained chef and worked at The Cellar restaurant, under Dylan, for some time and ensures that all of their high standards will be met

Hope opened on the 1st of October 2022 with two menu’s our a la cart menu that features globally inspired tapas, accompanied by substantial mains and desserts. We also offer a monthly three course lunch menu, which will delight the senses and leave you wanting to come back for more

Hope welcomes guests Wednesday to Saturdays, 12:00 to 15:00 for lunch and 18:00 to 21:00 for dinner. Sunday lunch, 12:00 – 15:30
