3 Course Spring Menu at Greenhouse at The Cellars-Hohenort

Greenhouse at Cellars-Hohenort, one of the country’s top ten restaurants as voted in the prestigious Eat Out Mercedes Benz Eat Out Awards, uses fresh, seasonal, local ingredients to wow with fine dining experiences and unique dishes paired with the best wines.

Head chef, Farrel Hirsch, has been honoured with a stream of accolades, including the American Express Platinum Fine Dining Restaurant Award. He’s also won the third annual Clash of the Chefs cook-off.

Chef Farrel has carefully created a spring set menu offering to delight.

An African inspired fusion, the menu is three courses, consisting of starts such as eryngi mushroom served with ponzu, root vegetables, coriander, dashi; sashimi served with seaweed, avocado, rice, cucumber and sesame; or springbok tataki complemented by foie ‘rocher’, glüwein, parsley and chilli. Mains include three-rice risotto, ‘Die Vis’ dish, or delectable tshisanyama. For dessert, the options are a spring citrus treat served with Caperitif, hibiscus, ginger and spekboom, or the unique  ‘The Beet’.

Enjoy this three course menu for R550 per person, or opt for an additional wine pairing for an extra R350 per person. Booking as essential –they were voted the best restaurant in Cape Town this year after all!
