The concept behind the School of Whisky is to introduce the joy of Scotch Single Malts to the everyday person, and not something that is focused purely on the Whisky connoisseurs.
These Single Malts are not solely the territory of the wealthy, as so many of us presume, but rather many of them are affordable, and something everyone can all enjoy when the mood arises.
With this in mind, the tastings are designed to be enjoyed at ones leisure.
The tasting trays offer a variety of Tasting Routes, some for the advanced Whisky drinker, and others which focus on the easier drinking varieties for those of us who do not drink Whisky too often, but are keen to sample.
All guests receive a tasting tray with their chosen Whiskies and a tasting guide which will help lead them through their tasting. Of course, the staff are on hand if the guest wishes further assistance with any questions.
Upcoming Whisky Nights at the V&A Waterfront
Mitchells Scottish Ale House is in the process of expanding upon the concept, and are currently working with various people within the industry to launch a monthly Whisky Night which will incorporate the foundation of our School of Whisky, but in a slightly more formal setting.
This will involve a formal Whisky Tasting led by an expert with food pairing, and focusing on various aspects of Whisky production.
These dates will be highlighted here as soon as we know more.
