Remo’s

Remo’s was born in May 2007 in memory of the late Remo Giuseppe Scribante. His brothers, “Fratelli”, Franco and Renzo Scribante opened their first café in Mount Edgecombe, Durban.

True to Italian tradition, we bake our breads and pastries fresh every morning. Our daily artisinal breads, pastries and cakes can be ordered to have with your meal or to take home.

Our artisanal breads, include: Italian Rolls, Baguettes, Village Chiabatta, Panini’s, White & Brown Bread, Rye Bread, Flat Bread, Seed Loaf, Miche Poilâne, Epi-Bread, Olive Chiabatta and Walnut & Raisin Sour Dough.

Our pastry and confectionery range include: Croissants, Brioche, Pain au Chocolat, Muffins, Brownies, Florentines, Gingermen & Ladies, Lemon Meringue Tarts, Apple Crumble, Pecan Slices, Meringues and our famous Remo’s Platalies.

Remo’s is a company that is growing formed from a dream and a vision and evolving through hard work and commitment. Every member of the Remo’s team is critical in the success of this business. The passion is evident in the team and the desire for good, wholesome food and service is demanded by our loyal clientele. It’s all about the Remo’s journey, the people we meet, the time we share and those who will remember us.
