From 1 May to 30 September 2025, Spier is offering a Soup & Wine Pairing that’s basically a warm hug in a glass and a bowl.
For just R180 per person, guests can cosy up in the Tasting Room and experience three thoughtfully crafted soups, each paired with one of Spier’s award-winning wines. It’s classy, it’s comforting, and it’s wildly satisfying.
Here’s what’s on the (very cosy) menu:
🥣 White Bean & Truffle Soup
Served with a garden mushroom toastie and paired with the bold and complex Creative Block 5 2021. Earthy, rich, and a little bit indulgent.
🍅 Charred Tomato Soup
Classic with a twist—paired with a parmesan toastie and the creamy, citrus-kissed Seaward Chardonnay 2024.
🎃 Pumpkin Velouté
Topped with goat’s cheese foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice. Matched with the powerful, fruit-forward 21 Gables Pinotage 2020. Autumn in a bowl.
🍫 Bonus treat: Because Spier knows how to end on a high note, there’s a surprise chocolate brownie waiting at the end.
