Negroni Recipe: History in the mixing with ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters

Once upon a time, in 1919 Florence, there lived the Count Camillo Negroni.

One day, the Count ordered himself an Americano cocktail, but, in a moment of spontaneity, he did something that would change the course of history forever. Instead of having the usual soda water in his drink, the Count asked for gin in its place. This may have seemed like a simple and unimportant decision at the time, but little did he know that this whimsical concoction would become the world-famous cocktail that we all know and love today, the Negroni.

The Negroni has become so beloved over the course of a century, that it has an entire week dedicated to it.

‘Negroni Week’ is now a global event, unifying bars and restaurants all around the world as they mix classic and adapted Negronis.

If you are intrigued and feeling inspired to try out this historic cocktail, ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters has a quick and easy recipe for you to try at home.
