If you thought Eid couldn’t get any more festive, Hyatt House Sandton is here to prove you delightfully wrong.
On 6–7 June 2025, they’re hosting a buffet bash packed with soul-warming dishes, sweet treats, and enough flavour to make your Eid weekend a full-blown food adventure—all for just R450 per person.
A Feast Fit for the Occasion
- This isn’t your average buffet. It’s a culinary tour of Eid favourites with a gourmet twist—starting with a warm bowl of boontjie soup and quickly escalating to a bread basket featuring mini vetkoek, naan, roti, mosbolletjies, and potato buns (yes, all of them). Carb lovers, rejoice.
- Next up, salads that actually slap: from a DIY salad bar to curried noodle salad and cold meat platters, all designed to build anticipation for the hot stuff.
The Stars of the Spread
Brace yourself for the Hot Selection, featuring beloved classics like:
-
Aunty Fatima’s Denning Vleis
-
Salwaa’s Mutton Curry
-
Seafood Paella
-
Durban Potato Curry
-
And Gairo’s Chicken Akni on the Bone, because no Eid is complete without akni.
Still hungry? The carvery station is slicing up Cajun roasted chicken and roast beef, paired with hearty sides like savoury rice, roast veg, and gem squash filled with creamy sweetcorn. It’s basically a hug in food form.
Mezze, Dips, and Dessert? Yes, Please.
Your Eid plate wouldn’t be complete without a side of samoosas, daltjies, hummus, raita, and mini pies, and your sweet tooth gets the royal treatment too. We’re talking lemon meringue tart, cheesecake, trifle, seasonal fruit, and the underrated MVP of the dessert table: potato pudding with stewed dried fruit.
Give a Little While You Feast a Lot
As if all this joy and flavour weren’t enough, 10% of every transaction will be donated to Gift of the Givers, making your celebration extra meaningful.
