Give your ‘budds’ a taste of Spring with a Flowstone Gin Cocktail

We are springing to action this season with Flowstone Gin. There are places to be and Buddleja flowers to be harvested!

As the days get warmer and the sun gets brighter, South Africa comes to life with the bright orange and yellow fields of floral heaven that grace our dreams all through winter. Now that spring is finally here, our dreams have come to life, because there is bursting colour every way you turn, so radiant it is almost hypnotic.

This season our surrounds are filled with purple, reflecting the brilliance of the Buddleja Salvifolia. Nicknamed the ‘Butterfly Bush’, this plant is covered in bright purple flowers, letting off a sweet scent that attracts masses of butterflies every year. Throughout the past winter, Flowstone Gin has been nurturing the Buddleja, and now the harvest season is upon them. As we speak, they are out, dedicatedly handpicking this ‘Butterfly Bush’. Not only is this flower the perfect spring garnish, but it is also added to Flowstone Gin’s Wild Cucumber varietal, adding an extra floral depth to its already fresh and intricate flavour.

On that floral note, Flowstone Gin has chosen the perfect Wild Cucumber Gin cocktail recipe to give you a taste of South Africa’s colourful spring. Tell your tastebuds to stretch because they are going to be dancing with these fresh flavours!

So, let your dreams bloom with this refreshing spring cocktail.
