Wine lovers, take note — your calendar just got tastier. On Friday, 27 June 2025, The Jordan Restaurant in Stellenbosch is hosting a Winemaker’s Dinner that promises big flavour, rare wines, and even rarer company.
Hosted by none other than Gary Jordan and winemaker Sjaak Nelson, the evening pairs Jordan Wine Estate’s iconic vintages with a special sneak peek of Tidebrook wines from Mousehall Estate in the UK — and get this: Tidebrook isn’t even available in South Africa yet.
It’s basically a passport for your palate, no boarding pass needed.
- Add to that a sharing-style feast by star chef Marthinus Ferreira, and you’ve got an evening designed to impress even the most seasoned foodies. Ferreira is known for his fearless flavours and inventive plates — think comfort meets wow — and when his food meets these wines, sparks will fly (in a very elegant, wine-swirling kind of way).
This exclusive dinner kicks off at 18:30 and costs R1250 per person, including all wine pairings with the meal. Extra drinks, gratuity, and the conservation levy are excluded — but the stories, laughter, and vineyard tales? Those are all part of the experience.
