Award-winning Bot River wine estate introduces after-dark entertainment perfect for families, couples, and groups this summer season.
Benguela Cove Wine Estate is transforming Friday and Saturday evenings this summer with the launch of Night Golf, an illuminated adventure golf experience set against the backdrop of one of the Cape’s most picturesque wine estates.
Running every Friday and Saturday evening from 5 December 2025 through 28 February 2026, Night Golf invites guests to navigate an 18-hole Pirate Adventure Course that comes alive after dark with spectacular lighting, themed features, and an electric atmosphere.
A Unique After-Dark Destination
“We’re thrilled to offer the Western Cape something truly different for evening entertainment,” says the Benguela Cove team. “Night Golf combines outdoor adventure, stunning scenery, and our renowned hospitality into an experience that appeals to everyone from young families to corporate groups seeking unique team-building activities.”
The illuminated course features a cascading waterfall, authentic pirate ship, treasure loot displays, and intricate theming throughout all 18 holes. Unlike traditional golf, no prior experience is necessary – the adventure mini-golf format ensures that players of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the experience.
Why You’ll Love It
This isn’t your average mini-golf outing. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Walker Bay, where the Bot River Lagoon meets the Atlantic Ocean, visitors can:
- Enjoy sundowners on the deck or sprawling lawns with mountain and lagoon views
- Play a fully illuminated, pirate-themed mini-golf course after dark (complete with pirate ship, waterfalls, treasure chests, and cannon fire!)
- Dine at Blackbeard’s Diner with indoor and outdoor seating
- Make a weekend of it with waterfront villa accommodation
Most groups complete the 18-hole course in 1-2 hours, with many guests choosing to make a full evening of their visit.
Perfect for Every Occasion

- Families: Safe, well-lit entertainment that captivates children with the pirate theme while providing quality family time
