The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa invites couples to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of the lush Constantia Valley.
On Saturday 14 February 2026, guests will be welcomed to an intimate Valentine’s Dinner in the elegant Greenhouse venue, beginning at 18h30 (R1 295 per person).
Curated by Head Chef Daniel Blignaut, the evening will unfold as a sharing menu for two, celebrating love through flavour, generosity and connection. The menu draws inspiration from South Africa’s diverse culinary landscape, showcasing local ingredients and bold, comforting flavours designed to be enjoyed together.
- Guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles to begin, setting the tone for a romantic journey through thoughtfully crafted courses. The dining experience opens with Baked & Buttered, featuring freshly prepared roosterkoek, mosbolletjie and braaibroodtjie. The menu then moves to Atlantic, with highlights including marinated prawns with Cape Malay vinaigrette, grilled line fish, and stuffed squid paired.
- From the coast, the journey continues inland to Karoo, where guests can enjoy an ostrich bobotie spring roll, lamb kofta with spiced tomato and onion relish, and roasted butternut. A fragrant lavender lemonade palate cleanser refreshes the senses before the next course.
- Inspired by the vast interior landscapes, Kalahari presents springbok kebab, confit quail with crispy sorghum, matlebekwane steamed dumplings in a comforting vegetable stew, and corn ribs glazed with honey butter and whipped cream cheese.
- The evening concludes with Sweet Ending, a duo of desserts designed for sharing: strawberry and chocolate panna cotta, served alongside peaches and cream with peach mille-feuille, chocolate, chantilly cream and vanilla-honey ice cream.
