At the centre of it all is Eddie Smit, representing the esteemed Vriesenhof Vineyards, the Stellenbosch estate founded by the late, great Jan Boland Coetzee — a man who didn’t just make wine, he helped define it for South Africa.
Jan’s belief? “Let the wine speak of its place.” And Vriesenhof’s elegant, honest wines continue to do just that — capturing the Helderberg’s cool slopes and timeless rhythm with every vintage.

Guests will be treated to a thoughtfully crafted menu by Chef Matt Manning, designed to pair beautifully with Vriesenhof’s iconic Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each course and pour is a tribute — to patience, terroir, and a life dedicated to the vine.
