The Cape Winelands are getting another reason to linger over lunch or dinner as Restaurant Week South Africa 2026 runs from 25 September to 1 November, with more than 200 restaurants across the country serving exclusive menus.

The experience begins with a Garden bouquet gougère, followed by sourdough and butter before the starter selection. Guests can choose from Fired Oysters with shiitake, teriyaki and lardo; Cured Langoustine with butternut, thyme and smoked fishbone velouté; or Rare Lamb Tartare with falafel crumble and coriander mayo.
For those after a plant-focused option, Sunchoke comes with black garlic, ginger and macadamia, while Raw Yellowtail combines ajo blanco, salted grapes and cucumber.
The main course selection continues Cavalli’s mix of South African ingredients and international influences. Springbok is served with fired miso cabbage, pear and furikake, while Sustainable Fish comes with cauliflower, curry, roti and wild garlic.
There is also Wagyu Brisket, paired with carrot, horseradish and crispy onion. Vegetarian diners can choose Celeriac with raw mushroom and burnt butter or Risotto Verde with burrata, lemon and pine nuts.
