Father’s Day is creeping up faster than Dad can fire up the braai — and this year, Knorhoek has done the planning for you.
Tucked beneath the scenic Simonsberg mountains, this beloved wine estate is dishing up a lunch that’s big on flavour, easy on stress, and just fancy enough to make him feel like the king of the castle.
On Sunday, 15 June, Knorhoek rolls out the red carpet (and the red wine) for a three-course lunch that’s all about sharing — stories, laughs, and seconds. It kicks off with a bubbly glass of MCC on arrival, followed by a shared starter platter that sets the tone: generous, hearty, and definitely not something Dad has to cook himself.
- The main event? A buffet that means business, featuring lamb, chicken, venison, and all the seasonal sides you’d hope for. It’s the kind of spread that demands unbuttoned pants and second helpings. Dessert is plated, sweet, and the perfect finale to an afternoon well spent. Guests are encouraged to come early — sip something special in the tasting room, snap a few mountain-view selfies, and soak in the laid-back magic Knorhoek is known for.
Lunch is R450 per person, with kids under 12 eating for half price, and the under-6 crowd scoring their own special menu. A cash bar keeps the wine flowing (just no BYO, please), and lunch runs from 12:00 to 14:30 at the Knorhoek Guesthouse.
Space is limited and bookings close on Thursday, 12 June — so don’t let Dad’s day get lost in the group chat. 👉 Contact guesthouse@knorhoek.co.za to book for Knorhoek’s Father’s Day Lunch
