Their name is Belgian and so is their beer: Den Anker located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. During the past week, they have been hard at work to bring something special – La Chouffe and Liefmans Fruitesse on tap. Den Anker will be the only place in South Africa where you will find these beauties!
La Chouffe is made at a small brewery in the Ardennes village of Achouffe and contains 8 vol% alcohol. It’s an unfiltered blonde beer with a pleasantly fruity flavour with hints of coriander and a light taste of hops. In addition, La Chouffe has a firm, fine white head. Liefmans Fruitesse contains 4,2 vol% alc and is a blend of Cherry, Raspberry, Elderberry, Strawberry & Blueberries. It is refreshingly sweet and spritzy! Great as an aperitif or served on the rocks.
