Champions Day set to provide the perfect Feast at Turffontein

There’s one final hurrah for the Highveld feature season with Champions Day taking place at Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday, 5 May.

The afternoon will also offer racegoers the chance to taste their way around the world in the Intercontinental Village.

If the thought of sampling some culinary delights from Greece, Lebanon, China, India, among a number of others, appeals then this area of the racecourse will be prime location while you take in the horseracing action.

Between races, be dazzled by performances from a number of the countries represented with belly-dancers, folk dancing and the drama of a Chinese dragon as it winds its way through the grounds. Enjoy the cuisine and entertainment of the world in the Intercontinental Village and be part of the R100k being donated to worthy charities.

The ever so posh and stylish Racing. It’s a Rush Member’s Lounge has two spectacular find dining packages on offer- tickets can be booked through www.webtickets.co.za and although tickets can be purchased on the day, they restrict the number of people to this venue to ensure that only the best experience is had by all.

A strict but elegant dress code applies in the Lounge. Men are required to wear jackets and ladies, stylishly elegant is the order of the day. Patron’s of the lounge will be entertained by live DJ’s between the races and of course the celebrations go on well into the night.

The fact that some of South Africa’s elite equine athletes will be battling it out on the day makes this one for the horseracing purists as well.

Don’t miss the most exciting day of the autumn racing calendar in Jozi!
