Celebrating International Gin & Tonic Day with Tanqueray

The 9th of April is one of our favourite days of the year!

If you don’t know why, we’ll shout it from the rooftops: It’s International Gin & Tonic Day!

To celebrate this wonderful occasion, we thought we’d inspire you with four incredible gin & tonic recipes that will impress your friends and elevate your cocktails to the next level.

Using a premium gin like Tanqueray in your g&ts allows you to change the flavour profile of your drink in a way that suits your own unique preferences. Chilli, peppercorns, ginger, bay leaf, lemon, raspberries, grapefruits are all used in the recipes below but there are many more ingredients that you can experiment with – let your imagination run wild to craft a drink that is your own.

Make one or two of these recipes and raise your glasses in celebration of International Gin & Tonic Day. Don’t be afraid to craft it your way and add your own distinctive spin to this classic drink.

Gin & Tonic Recipes with Tanqueray Gin

TANQUERAY & TONIC WITH CHILLI AND PEPPERCORN

We’re starting things off with a proper punch of chilli and peppercorn to warm things up big time on a cold wintery evening in Cape Town. Add as much chilli as you can handle but don’t let your glass rest for too long as your drink gets hotter with every second.

HOW TO MAKE IT:

Add ice to a copa glass and pour in 85 ml of Tonic. Add 35 ml of Tanqueray London Dry Gin, stir and garnish with chilli and peppercorn.

YOU WILL NEED:

Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Tonic, chilli, peppercorns, ice and Copa glass.

 

TANQUERAY & TONIC WITH GINGER AND BAY LEAF

With the changing of seasons, the flu is always a menace that’s lurking around the corner. With this G&T, you can fight off the nasty bugs that are making their rounds. They’ve got no chance against a good dose of ginger and tonic.

HOW TO MAKE IT

Add ice to a copa glass and pour in 85 ml of Tonic. Add 35 ml of Tanqueray London Dry Gin, stir and garnish with ginger and bayleaf.

 

YOU WILL NEED:

Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Tonic, ginger, bay leaves, ice and Copa glass.

 

 

TANQUERAY & TONIC WITH LEMON AND RASPBERRY

We know summer has long gone but that doesn’t mean that we can stop dreaming of longer days and shorter nights. With this zingy and refreshing gin & tonic, you’ll be transported to your happy place where the sun stays up just a little longer and the ocean breeze hits your face with every wave that comes crashing in.

HOW TO MAKE IT

Add ice to a copa glass and pour in 85 ml of Tonic. Add 35 ml of Tanqueray London Dry Gin, stir and garnish with lemon and raspberry.

YOU WILL NEED:

Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Tonic, lemon, raspberry, ice and Copa glass.

 

THE PERFECT SERVE – TANQUERAY Nº TEN & TONIC

To top it all off – this is the Tanqueray signature serve. It is a never fail recipe, as the grapefruit really accentuates the fresh citrus notes found in Tanqueray No. 10. The perfect drink for any occasion.

HOW TO MAKE IT

Add ice to a copa glass and pour in 50 ml of Tanqueray Nº TEN. Add 150 ml of premium tonic water, garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit and stir.

Tanqueray Nº TEN, Premium Tonic, pink grapefruit, ice and Copa glass.
