An Underwater Dining Adventure in the Maldives

How would you like to have dinner some 5 meters below sea level surrounded by water?

This is possible at Ithaa, the first underwater restaurant at the luxurious Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort. The design of the restaurant allows all guests to enjoy a 180 degrees view of the crystal clear Maldives sea as well as its coral reef & marine life. I’ve added a few pictures below which showcase the restaurant and its amazing view.

Ithaa opens for lunch every day at 11h00 and stays open until midnight to serve their dinner menu. Prices start at a R1,000 for the lunch menu while the dinner is a tiny bit more expensive . It’s booked out weeks in advance, so if you are interested and want to reserve a table here on your next holiday, make sure you call early!

The restaurant was designed by a consultancy firm from New Zealand called MJ Murphy Ldt. They built the restaurant in its entirety and then lowered it under the sea. Also, have a look at their website – It looks absolutely stunning! I want to be there…NOW.

Anyone willing to sponsor my next holiday?

FYI: The restaurant has a strict dress code and no children under 12 are allowed.
