Boxing Day at The Bike Forge is shaping up to be a feast for anyone who loves good food, loud guitars, and a cold drink in hand.
This lively spot on the R46 between Tulbagh and Wolseley is gearing up for its Boxing Day Bash, and the lineup is only half the story.
The other half is the food that keeps everyone fuelled from the first chord to the last cheer.
- Visitors can expect kitchen aromas to drift across the estate long before the amps warm up. The Bike Forge’s full restaurant and bar will be open, serving everything from hearty plates to easygoing snacks that pair perfectly with an ice cold beer. Families, friends, road trippers, and holidaymakers can settle in for the afternoon knowing they will be well fed while Luna Lane, Uncle Righteous, and Tangerine do their thing on stage.
The vibe hits that sweet spot between festival fun and a relaxed country afternoon. Think sizzling grills, frosty drinks, good company, and live music rolling across the valley. Anyone wanting to make a whole outing of it can even grab one of the limited accommodation or camping spots. It is the kind of day where eating well and dancing badly are both completely encouraged.
The party runs from 12pm to 6pm on 26 December. Pre entry is R120 and R150 at the gate. Tickets are available on Quicket, and judging by past years, they vanish quickly.
Boxing Day is meant for leftovers, long lunches, and little adventures, and The Bike Forge manages to tick all three boxes in one go. Music, food, and open air. It is a simple recipe, and it works every time.
