But what else is going down? Because South Africa’s top chefs are just not enough.

Robertsons Butcher Block in association with The Big Green Egg: A gastro theatre dedicated to all things meaty. Yes man. Chef Craig Elliott is collaborating with local butchers to celebrate 90 years of Robertsons spices. All dishes will be prepared in The Big Green Egg, a new take on a good ol’ fashioned braai, which uses the ancient clay cooking technique ‘Kamado’.

Consol Mixology Theatre: A show plus booze? Could it get any better? Join this interactive theatre experience as they shake, stir and blend some pretty awesome creative cocktails.

Simply Asia Noodle Experience: An authentic Thai dining experience in their mobile restaurant? I’m in.

Lindt Al Fresco: Master Chocolatiers from the Cape Town Chocolate Studio will be creating fresh Lindor truffles and pralines by hand to enjoy with Lindt Hot Chocolate. They’ll also be selling some greatness from their Excellence and Creation ranges.

Food Market: This is actually one of the highlights for me. Hand-picked artisanal producers, premium drink brands and award-winning wineries in a laid back atmosphere. Expect to see The Creamery, The Queen of Tarts. Curds and Whey, Cape Mountain, Original Iced Cocktails, Mitchells Seafront Brewery and many, many more.

Pick n Pay Chef’s Theatre: Thanks to PnP, see the city’s top chefs in action –demos, challenges, tutorials and Q&A sessions – meet the faces behind food. While you’re there, you can also catch the Fresh Living magazine team.

Pick n Pay Wine & Canapé Experience: learn how to create simple, stylish canapés to pair with wine, make them yourself and eat!

2oceansvibe Media and Jack Daniels: Last years party zone, it’s the cocktail bar where you can meet 2oceansvibe presenters, sip on Jack Daniels cocktails and listen in on live broadcasts, while ‘Me and Mr. Brown’ rock the night away.

Cape Town Angels Benefit Stage:  Expect an eclectic line-up of performers including Two Minute Puzzle, The Motherland, Saalim Ismail, Elton Goslet and Princess Pop. The College of Magic waves their wand and mentalist Bryan Miles will leave you saying, “but how?”.

Party Tots Kids Zone for the little Taste fans: Party Tots will be keeping the little ones entertained in a secure area with adult supervision.  From jumping castles, kick bikes and the worm tunnel, to a ball pond and obstacle course. This area is open for the Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions during the festival.
