Panarottis and LIFT Airlines took World Pasta Day celebrations to new heights on 25 October, treating passengers to a fun and unexpected experience during their flights.
Multi-award-winning South African stand-up comedian and writer Tsitsi Chiumya brought the activation to life onboard, surprising and interacting with passengers as they travelled.
Chiumya helped build excitement for World Pasta Day by handing out Panarottis vouchers and aprons to passengers. Children travelling on the day received party packs, giving younger passengers their own special part in the celebration.
- Every LIFT passenger onboard on World Pasta Day received a voucher for a complimentary Classic Pasta at any Panarottis restaurant, valid until 30 November 2026. The onboard giveaways gave passengers a reason to look forward to a meal after their journey, while the party packs delighted children and helped make the flight memorable for families.
World Pasta Day is celebrated annually on 25 October and recognises pasta’s popularity across cultures and generations. Often enjoyed as a comforting everyday meal or shared at family gatherings, pasta brings people together. For Panarottis, the celebration was an opportunity to take that sense of enjoyment beyond its restaurants and meet customers in an unexpected setting.
The collaboration paired two experiences that connect people: travel and food.
