On 7 July 2025, the Turbine Hotel is hosting a one-night-only Honey-Inspired Evening in collaboration with the craft geniuses at Eden Honey Distillery—and it’s dripping with flavour.
Set at the cozy Island Café inside the boutique Turbine Hotel & Spa, this event is part of the Knysna Oyster Festival, and it’s turning up the heat (and the honey).
Here’s what’s on the menu:
Start off with a Honey Rum amuse bouche and a spicy “Hot Honey” Saldanha Bay oyster tempura—because of course oysters taste better with a little buzz.
Then dive into:

Camembert with honey caviar, fig salami & spiced macadamia paired with Honey Brandy

Harkerville Honey & Thyme Glazed Pork Belly with bacon potato cloud and apple gel—served with a swig of Honey Mead

And to sweeten the deal: Baklava Wildflower Honey Cheesecake Tart with pistachio & nougat ice cream, plus a sip of Honey Cinnamon Liqueur
