This Mother’s Day, skip the sad supermarket flowers and treat Mom to something truly memorable — a brunch under the oaks at The Cellar Door on Jordan Wine Estate.
It’s all the elegance of the winelands, minus the fuss, with great food, gorgeous views, and a few thoughtful extras that’ll have her feeling like the queen she is.
Settle in on the deck overlooking the Stellenbosch Kloof Valley and start the morning off right — with a warm drink in hand and that unmistakable fresh winelands air. Then comes the main event: a two-course brunch that’s anything but ordinary.
- She’ll get to choose between two mouthwatering mains: 🥂 Beetroot & Orange Cured Salmon Gravadlax — perched on an English muffin with spinach, avo, lemon crème fraîche, and perfectly poached eggs.or 🍯 Fig & Sunflower Pâté — a savoury symphony with bocconcini wrapped in prosciutto, baked camembert, toasted seed loaf, and a dreamy porcini, walnut & honey ragout. And for the grand finale? A rich, individual baked cheesecake with a ginger biscuit crust and mixed berry compote — sweet, simple, and just the right amount of indulgent.
It’s R325 per person and includes a little gift for Mom to take home — because let’s be honest, she deserves more than just brunch. And don’t worry about the little ones: the kiddies’ menu (R169) has them covered with scrambled eggs, bacon and toast, a juice box, a giant cookie, and a colouring-in kit to keep tiny hands busy.
