Date Night, Done Right: Hyatt House Rosebank’s Valentine’s Day Experience

Valentine’s Day at Hyatt House Rosebank is designed for couples who appreciate good food, thoughtful moments, and a touch of romance without the fuss.

This year, the hotel invites guests to slow down, connect, and enjoy an evening where flavour, atmosphere, and heartfelt details come together effortlessly.

The celebration unfolds with a carefully curated romantic dining experience, priced at R600 per person, offering a menu that balances indulgence with comfort.

  • Guests begin with a golden, panko-crumbed crispy brie, paired with marinated wild mushrooms, red onion marmalade, and a delicate rooibos dressing — a warm and welcoming start to the evening.
  • Starters arrive as a generous platter to share, encouraging conversation and connection. Think fragrant chicken tikka with curry sauce and garlic naan wedges, alongside crisp springbok carpaccio served with herb crostini and pickled red onion. It’s a spread designed for lingering at the table and stealing bites from each other’s plates.
  • For the main event, diners choose between a tender balsamic and coriander fillet with butternut purée, broccolini, and potato dauphinoise, or a fragrant Moroccan-spiced chicken stuffed with spinach, sun-dried tomato, and feta, served with couscous and lemon thyme sauce. For seafood lovers, a creamy kingklip linguine adds an elegant alternative.
  • Dessert brings the evening to a sweet close with the Graffiti Platter for Two — a playful yet refined assortment featuring guavadilla meringue tartlets, dark chocolate caramel macarons, carrot cake with lemon cream cheese frosting, marinated citrus and berry skewers, and layers of vanilla crumble, almond soil, and chocolate accents, finished with vibrant coulis and sauces.

Adding even more meaning to the evening, 10% of every transaction supports the Gift of the Givers Foundation, allowing guests to celebrate love while contributing to a greater cause.

At Hyatt House Rosebank, Valentine’s Day is not about extravagance — it’s about connection, shared plates, thoughtful flavours, and memories made around the table.
