Restaurant Week is back!
It’s the time of the year, where upmarket restaurants across the country will offer their menu at reduced prices either for lunch or dinner. Seats have to be pre-booked in advance through the Restaurant Week online portal.
One of South Africa’s most respected chefs, she is highly regarded for her significant attention to detail and delicate balancing of simplicity with sophistication.
Having previously worked under legendary chefs David Higgs and Luke Dale Roberts, chef Candice launched her own successful dining concept, GREI at the Saxon Hotel in 2018, where she was awarded the Mercedes-Benz Eat Out Nederburg Rising Star award and Young Chef of the Year Award by Condé Nast House & Garden SA Gourmet Restaurant Awards as well as the ‘Haute Property’ award by the Gourmet Guide.
Chef Candice currently headlines Basalt Restaurant at the Peech Hotel as Chef in Residence where she was recently awarded “Best Fine Dining Pop Up Experience 2021” and “Best Fine Dining Restaurant SA” at the Luxe Restaurant Awards by SA Hospitality Council in June 2021.
