Golden Hour at Kloof Street Hotel’s The Sanctuary: Live with Serrano Antonio

Located at the Kloof Street Hotel on one of Time Out’s “world’s coolest streets”, the acclaimed Lion Roars Hotel group’s in-house restaurant, The Sanctuary, now hosts live weekend performances by Cape Town vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Serrano Antonio, every Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00, atop its rooftop setting.

Rooted in gospel and soul, Serrano Antonio’s musical journey began at just 11 years old when he received his first guitar. By 14, he had taught himself to play the piano.

Over the years, he developed a powerful voice that seamlessly accompanies his performances. In 2017, Serrano auditioned for South African Idols, earning four yeses from the judges and advancing to the Top 32 — twice.

• The Sanctuary Restaurant offers panoramic views of Table Mountain and Cape Town’s skyline, paired with relaxed yet sophisticated dining. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the à la carte menu features elevated starters, artisanal wood-fired pizzas, freshly prepared pastas, and expertly grilled steaks, balancing comfort and refinement. No visit is complete without Kev’s Cheesecake, a house specialty that has become a favourite among regular guests.
  Guests can enjoy Serrano Antonio’s musical renditions alongside their meal at no additional cost.
