Galette Des Rois at Cassis Paris

The Story behind the Galette Des Rois – Traditionally a cake to celebrate the Epiphany in France, at the beginning of January. It is an opportunity for family and friends to gather around the table. The youngest guest, normally a child, hides under the table and calls out which guest should be given the next slice of Galette. The person who finds the “fève” (lucky charm) is the King or Queen for the day. The King or Queen has to choose their King or Queen by dropping the lucky charm in their glass.
