Five Courses, Table Mountain Views, and Fat Bastard Wines make for a memorable Night at Blowfish

Blowfish Restaurant is inviting guests on a culinary journey around the world this July as its popular Wine & Dine Pairing Series returns with a five-course experience hosted alongside FAT bastard Wines.

Taking place on 7 July 2026 from 18:30, the evening combines bold flavours, creative cooking, and expertly paired wines against one of Cape Town’s most iconic sunset views overlooking Table Bay and Table Mountain.

Priced at R650 per person, the menu takes diners across multiple culinary influences, drawing inspiration from Italian, Indian, Japanese, and broader Asian cuisines. The result is a playful yet refined dining experience where familiar dishes are reimagined and elevated through thoughtful wine pairings.

• The evening begins with Chicken Alfredo Lollipops, featuring inverted chicken wings stuffed with Parmesan and Parma ham before being finished with a creamy Alfredo sauce.
• A lightly curried Mulligatawny soup with smoked chicken and apple follows, bringing warmth and depth to the second course.
• For the salad course, guests can enjoy Seared Salmon Sushi Salad, combining salmon sushi rolls, sesame dressing, and a rustic garden salad.
• The main event showcases Asian Braised Beef Shin, slowly cooked in miso until meltingly tender and served with roasted broccoli florets and buttery potato purée.
• Dessert delivers a fitting finale with Malt Cheesecake with Espresso, a fridge-set cheesecake served in a Martini glass, topped with espresso gelée, bitter chocolate shards, and fragrant orange oil.

Throughout the evening, Blowfish’s chef and the FAT bastard cellar master will guide guests through each course and pairing, sharing the stories behind the wines and the inspiration behind the menu.
