The vision was shared by many; it was time for an upgrade of the much-loved central space which has welcomed members, homeowners, and golf visitors from both near and far for the past 27 years.
Situated right on the slopes of the Helderberg mountains, Erinvale is widely considered as one of the finest golfing destinations in South Africa. Facilities include a driving range, chipping and putting greens and now a multi-functional clubhouse space; the perfect meeting place for after-golf sunset drinks, all day restaurant service, halfway house essentials, homemade pizza, delicious barista coffee and even an ideal working environment, thanks to uncapped Wi-Fi.
Kerstin Dinklage, leading the Clubhouse project, with architect Chris Brown and Alan Ritchie of Custom Woodworks were jointly tasked to breathe new life into the outdated Erinvale Clubhouse; converting it into a contemporary and vibrant new space.
“It has been an amazing and intense four-month journey to re-imagine and re-create the Clubhouse without any major structural changes, but to achieve high impact through amended flows and tailored interior and exterior design. We’ve received such overwhelmingly positive feedback from all Erinvale members and guests across the different age brackets, gender and nationalities which we believe to be a fantastic result of great teamwork,” says Kerstin Dinklage.
The new design is contemporary whilst still honouring functionality- a timeless combination of stucco walls and custom-designed furniture and fixtures that make use of oak, black wood and metal works. The colour palette features monochromatic statements, softened by warm, earthy tones and embellishments.
Erinvale is prioritizing a series of new initiatives to innovate the guest and golf experience- allowing it to shine amongst the country’s other top-ranking golf clubs. Adding to the exciting recent developments, they’ve also newly welcomed Janyne Marais as the General Manager of Erinvale Golf Club. With a wave of new energy, the golf club and estate continues to propel forward offering an unrivalled lifestyle to all who call it home and enjoy the many benefits on offer within one of the Western Cape’s premium residential golf estates.

Erinvale is open to visitors by reservation only.
Visiting golfers are welcomed four days a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. ‘Members Days’ are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Valued members and their guests have access to all club facilities which cater for golf groups, golf days and special functions, such as birthday and wedding celebrations, as well as business
meetings.
