At The Vineyard Hotel, early evenings are slowing down in the best way.
As the air cools and the light softens, the Garden Lounge Patio becomes the setting for a series of relaxed wine afternoons that lean into good company and easy drinking.
Running from 5pm to 7pm on selected Fridays, these complimentary tastings are available to guests dining at the hotel adding an extra layer to an already well-paced evening.
- There’s no formal structure or pressure. Just a rotating lineup of respected local wine farms, each bringing something slightly different to the table.
April opens with Bosman Wines (10 & 24 April), pouring generous, fruit-forward selections alongside fuller-bodied reds and vibrant whites. In May, Idiom Wine Farm (8 & 15 May) takes over with approachable, well-rounded wines suited to unwinding at the end of the week.
June shifts to cooler profiles. Steenberg Wine Farm (12 June) offers refined, balanced pours, followed by Iona Wine Farm (26 June), known for crisp, citrus-driven wines shaped by cooler climates. The pattern continues into July, with Steenberg (10 July) and Iona (31 July) returning to round off the series.
A table booked, a glass poured, and time set aside to enjoy both. It’s less about tasting notes and more about the moment shared conversation, changing light, and a steady flow of well-made wine.
