Let your private tasting guide take you through the elegant J.C. Le Roux Cap Classique range and learn the noble art of sabrage, a ceremonial technique to release the cork with a sabre, attributed to Napoleon’s officers according to legend.

From the ever so crisp and elegantly dry, to the more palate friendly, you will definitely find your own personal J.C. Le Roux favourite. The ultra-sophisticated flagship, Scintilla 2008, is a classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The demi-sec J.C. Le Roux La Vallée is a firm favourite of bubbly lovers who enjoy a slightly off-dry taste, without it being too sweet for people with a dryer palate. Its blushing counterpart, La Vallée Rosé, is equally enticing.

Each J.C. Le Roux Cap Classique is crafted in the time honoured French tradition whereby the delicate bubbles are created and captured in every bottle during a process of secondary fermentation. South African bubblies made this way are known as Méthode Cap Classique, as only the French version may be called champagne.

The new Méthode Cape Classique experience costs R130 per person and is available Monday to Friday at 11h00 and 14h00. Book at www.webtickets.co.za.
