Winter in the Cape Winelands is getting a louder soundtrack, and Bike Forge in Tulbagh is marking the occasion in style.
The 10th Annual Winterland Music Festival 2026 rolls into Bike Forge on Saturday, 27 June 2026, bringing a full day of live music, good food, cold drinks, and laid-back festival energy to De Heuvel Estate on the R46 between Tulbagh and Wolseley.
Better yet, entry is completely free.
- This milestone edition has a solid line-up ready to keep the atmosphere lively, featuring Robin Auld & Wendy Oldfield, Akkedis, and Basson Laubscher & Band. Live music runs from 12:00 to 18:00, giving festivalgoers a generous afternoon of rock, blues, and crowd-pleasing performances.
For the early birds, gates open at 09:00, leaving plenty of time to settle in before happy hour from 11:00 to 12:00 kicks things off. And because no proper music day should rely on rhythm alone, Bike Forge will have its full restaurant serving pub grub alongside a fully stocked bar to keep everyone well fuelled.
For those tempted to turn the outing into a weekend escape, limited accommodation is available, though organisers suggest booking quickly before the beds disappear faster than the first round at happy hour.
Sponsored by Cape Aqua, the Winterland Music Festival has all the ingredients of an easy winter day out: no ticket stress, a strong music line-up, countryside views, and an excuse to gather friends and family for something a little more memorable than staying home with a blanket.
