This Ramadan, Millat-Owned Hyatt Hotels South Africa welcomes guests to honour the sacred experienceof the holy month through a carefully curated journey of Iftar, Suhoor and Tarawih dining experiences across Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Designed around moments of pause, gathering and shared ritual, this year’s Ramadan offering is more connected than ever.
From Hyatt Houses Sandton and Rosebank to the culturally layered streets of the Bo Kaap to a newly introduced Najdi-inspired dining experience at Whispers of Diriyah in Park Hyatt Johannesburg, each table has been set with intention, care and a deep respect for tradition.
- Across all participating hotels, halal menus, dedicated prayer facilities and carefully considered spaces support both spiritual observance and meaningful hospitality throughout the month of fasting and reflection. “Ramadan is not just a moment on the calendar for us, it is a responsibility,” says Nicolaas van der Walt, Director of Culinary at Hyatt Hotels South Africa. “Every menu, every space and every detail has been designed to honour the holy month with authenticity and care. From heritage-driven flavours in Cape Town to the cultural depth of Whispers of Diriyah in Johannesburg, we have created experiences that are intentional, respectful, grounding and genuinely communal. This is hospitality that listens first, and then serves.”
