It’s a season filled with anticipation as the 2026 red wines quietly begin maturing in barrel, while the cellar team turns its attention to blending the very best components of the 2025 Winemasters range.
The newly harvested 2026 reds are already showing promising depth, structure and character.
- Although these wines still have time ahead of them before release, the early signs point towards another impressive vintage. It’s the stage where patience, careful observation and craftsmanship take centre stage, allowing every barrel to develop its own personality before becoming part of the final blend.
At the same time, another important milestone has been reached.
The tasting and selection of the 2025 wines has been completed, with the finest parcels chosen for Nederburg’s acclaimed Winemasters collection. As blending begins, months of vineyard work and cellar expertise come together in one of the most creative stages of the winemaking process. Every decision is guided by balance, structure, elegance and the pursuit of exceptional quality.

- The Brew Master Red Blend 2018, drinking beautifully between 2026 and 2028, offers layered fruit, fine oak tannins and gentle floral notes, finishing with impressive elegance and length.
- The Brew Master Red Blend 2020 extends its drinking window through 2032, delivering plush dark berry fruit, cedar, warm spice and liquorice, supported by firm tannins, vibrant acidity and excellent complexity.
- The Brew Master Red Blend 2022 continues that tradition with a silky, rich palate, expressive fruit and supple tannins that promise rewarding drinking over the coming years.
- Fans of bold reds will also appreciate The Motorcycle Marvel collection. The 2020 vintage delivers concentrated dark fruit wrapped in refined tannins and balanced acidity. The 2021 release raises the bar even higher, offering remarkable purity, finesse and structure while remaining powerful and beautifully balanced through 2033. The 2022 vintage reflects a warmer growing season, producing richer, riper fruit, while maintaining freshness through carefully balanced acidity and structure.
Nederburg’s reputation for producing benchmark South African reds has also received fresh recognition. Nederburg Baronne, one of the country’s most enduring red blends, has been awarded 95 points and secured second place in the Prescient Fund Services Signature Red Blend Report 2026 Top 10. The accolade reinforces the wine’s status as a South African classic that continues to evolve while remaining true to its heritage.
