Get your Tickets: Wine on the River 2018

Taking place from the 26th to the 28th of October, join Robertson Wine Valley for a weekend of fantastic wine and great food in an unbeatable setting. Springtime is nearly upon us and Wine on the River, in partnership with Nedbank, is sure to be a spirited celebration!

Unwind with a glass of fine wine, while breathing in the fresh country air and admiring the beautiful scenery. With an array of wonderful wines on offer, along with delectable treats and live music, you’d be remiss to pass up an opportunity to relax on the blooming banks of the Breede River.

Look forward to a weekend when talented winemakers, craftspeople and chefs from Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson congregate on Goudmyn Farm. Festival goers will be spoilt with wine tastings from no less than 30 local wineries among other exciting wine and culinary offerings.

The Cape Wine Academy will host interactive wine tastings with local winemakers in the #TasteTheLifestyle tent for R80pp (pre-book on QKR! From Sep). Local winemakers will be hosting wine safaris on nearby farms, taking festival goers through the vineyards to learn more about the terroir and underground cellars to discover the stories behind the vintages for R150pp (pre-book on QKR! From Sep). The bulk wine tent is also a must-visit, as they’ll be selling wines at cellar door prices!

The ever-popular Country Central Market will be selling local produce, artisanal fare and all sorts of unique keepsakes. The children’s area offers exciting activities for all ages, with proceeds going to local schools and farm crèches. An annual highlight, the Duck Derby’s proceeds will go towards the Zolani Youth Choir.

The Viljoensdrift boat cruise will be offering leisurely river trips the entire family can appreciate, with profits going towards Breede River Hospice. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even take to the skies with a helicopter ride, admiring all the action from above. Free Wifi is also offered through Breedenet, making it easier to share your special moments.

Another exciting addition to this year’s festival is glamping accommodation! Experience all the joys of the outdoors without discomfort or fuss. Imagine stargazing and roasting marshmallows over a campfire, followed by a cozy night’s rest in a luxury tent, a mere 15 minutes from the main festival site.
