This Father’s Day, 18 June 2023, The Manor at Nederburg is the definitive destination for all the flavours dad loves.
Chef Linda Truatmann has devised a special breakfast and lunch menu featuring classic family-favourite dishes, with a luxurious touch fit for a king – or the chief of your tribe.
What’s on the Menu for Father’s Day at Nederburg?
- Breakfast will be served from 8:30 until 11:30, costs R195 per person and includes a coffee or mimosa on arrival, yoghurt and muesli with caramelised nuts, and your choice of our sumptuous hot breakfast options: The Manor breakfast (English-style breakfast with a South African twist), smoked trout breakfast bowl, vegetarian breakfast bowl or French toast.
- Lunch will be a Sunday feast for the ages, served from 11:30 until 16:00 at only R350 per person. It starts off with a variety of fresh breads, pâtés and flavoured butter. For the main course, guests can choose from the following hero proteins: lamb shank Osso Bucco with Cabernet Sauvignon jus, beef fillet with biltong jus, or boerewors-stuffed chicken fillet with brandy cream sauce. The equally delicious complementary sides include hand-cut potato wedges, green vegetables, caramelised butternut with homemade dukkah, plus strawberry and feta salad with balsamic dressing.
- Dessert is sure to end the meal on a high note, with a choice between Black Forest Cake with cherry and Van Ryn’s 12-year-old whipped cream, or malva pudding with raspberry Amarula custard.
- Blackboard specials will also be available on the day and features fragrant pork belly harissa tagine or aubergine chickpea tagine, as well as spinach and three-cheese ravioli. And a wide range Nederburg’s delicious wines will be available to order.
On arrival, a take-home gift for dad will add a personal touch to the celebration, regardless of whether you join us for breakfast or lunch. The festivity continues with live afternoon music, which will make the whole family want to linger and soak up the awe-inspiring scenery of the Cape winelands.
