Thursday Nights ‘Fire & Wine’ Are Back at Brookdale Bistro

With the arrival of the new season, The Bistro at Brookdale Estate in the Paarl Winelands brings back its popular Thursday night Fire & Wine evenings from May until the end of September, offering a distinct winter dining experience prepared on the grill.

Recently, The Bistro earned its first Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Award when it was named among just 66 restaurants nationwide, celebrated for shaping and elevating South Africa’s culinary landscape in 2026.

Kicking off on Thursday the 14th of May 2026, guests can enjoy a relaxed sunset dinner featuring prawns on the grill, followed by a comforting curry evening a week later on 21 May, and a crowd-pleasing burger night on 28 May.

  • Each laid-back midweek, early-dinner experience is built around one delicious grilled dish, paired with a complimentary glass of Brookdale’s Mason Road wine. The menu showcases the finest locally sourced ingredients, and a vegetarian option is always available.

Guests are invited to settle into the warm ambiance around the central fireplace while sipping a glass of Brookdale Mason Road’s bold Shiraz, the vibrant GSM red blend (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Petit Syrah), the crisp Chenin Blanc, or the refreshing Serendipity Rosé, while Chef Gary Coetzee works his magic at the grill.

For those wanting to make a night of it, luxury accommodation is available at the Manor House on the estate. Guests may take advantage of the special SADC rate of R4620 per person sharing per night, which includes breakfast (valid until 30 September 2026 and subject to availability).
