Seven Colours Buffet: A Sunday Feast brings Family Traditions to Pepperclub Hotel

South African Sunday lunches have always been about bringing people together, and Pepperclub Hotel’s COPA Restaurant is celebrating that tradition with a Seven Colours Buffet Lunch on Sunday, 26 July 2026.

Served from 12:00 to 15:00, the buffet has been inspired by the much-loved “seven colours” Sunday meal and showcases the flavours and recipes that have long been part of family tables across the country.

Created by Head Chef Nigel Stemmet, the menu reflects his passion for South African culinary heritage, combining familiar favourites with generous hospitality.

  • Guests can begin with comforting starters including split pea soup served with homemade artisan breads, a selection of homemade dips featuring smoked snoek pâté, hummus, mushroom and cream cheese, and pepper dew, alongside fresh salads such as pickled beetroot with orange and feta, couscous with herbs, dried fruit and toasted seeds, and traditional coleslaw.
  • The hearty main buffet continues with buttermilk fried chicken, Guinness-braised oxtail with baby onions and wild mushrooms, savoury fried rice, smoked paprika roasted potatoes, honey and cinnamon roasted pumpkin and sweet potato, and creamy spinach.
  • Dessert keeps the nostalgia alive with classic bread and butter pudding served with crème anglaise, traditional peppermint tart and a seasonal sliced fruit salad.

Priced at R425 per person and R215 per child under 12, this special lunch is an invitation to enjoy comforting home-style cooking, warm hospitality and a leisurely Sunday shared around the table.
