Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront presents new hotel upgrade

Last week Wednesday, we were invited to the launch of the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront’s state-of-the-art Meetings & Events facilities which proved to be a great success. R10-million in improvements across the hotel, the event spotlighted their recent winter refurbishments.

As we entered the hotel, we were already presented with some of the new hotel’s interior design looking at the new reception and entrance hall. As guests gathered on the outside boardwalk for Chef Grant Kennedy’s tasty canapés, we enjoyed panoramic views of Cape Town.

As the event continued, we were introduced to the new versatile venues inside. Andrew Rogers, Chairman of the Waterclub Body Corporate spoke about the developments of the Meetings & Events facilities that can hold up to 300 people and 180 guests for gala dining. He also mentioned that the venue can host banquets, weddings, cinema-style seating and large events over the upcoming festive season. In addition, the Captain’s View Boardroom offers incredible views of the marina for more intimate meetings for up to 12 delegates.

We were also offered personal tours of the property that gave us an opportunity to see why the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront was voted as Africa’s Leading Conference Hotel in the 2014 World Travel Awards. The hotel’s stunning views, excellent service and endless options for hosting events allows visitors to find exactly what they are looking for.

Each of the 177 rooms were also given their own transformations with the latest technology in televisions and new amenities. Future visitors can spend time at the recently built lounge area at the hotel’s Amani African Spa, for pre and post treatments. Updates can also be found in the hotel reception and public areas, the West Atrium and there’s been a soft refurbishment at the property’s dining area Tobago’s Restaurant.

The upgrade to the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront is a natural step on our journey towards enhanced excellence. Here we strive to exceed guest expectations in every aspect of our hotel. With our constant development to the property, we promise to deliver our brand ethos and ‘Yes I Can!’ philosophy – General Manager Debra Siversten.

It’s only fitting that this award winning location marked its new features with excitement and celebration. As the festivities commenced for the day, the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront continues on their journey to set high standards for business and leisure across the Mother City.
