Pink Centenary Celebrations & Specials at The Belmond Mount Nelson

At the end of World War 1, in November 1918, the Mount Nelson’s Italian General Manager, Aldo Renato, celebrated with a bit of flair by decorating the hotel with a lovely coat of pink paint.

The iconic colour has stayed the same for a hundred years, and from November 2018 the Mount Nelson will be celebrating with a number of Pink Centenary events. To kick off the festivities, they are offering a spectacular In the Pink overnight package on Friday 9th or Saturday 10th November at R4 950 for two people sharing. This also includes two tickets to the Veuve Clicquot rosé Garden Party at the hotel on Saturday 10th November at 13h30.

You can look toward to endless pink bubbles, enjoyed along with exquisite canapes – a vision in pink: salmon, prawns, oysters, tuna tartare, roast beef and of course, sweet treats. Splash out with two overnight stays on both Friday and Saturday and the package would be R6 900 for two nights for two people sharing, along with the two Champagne Garden Party tickets. The overnight stays also include a sumptuous breakfast on the Oasis outdoor terrace.

Tickets for the Champagne Garden Party, a double celebration as Veuve Clicquot rosé is celebrating their second centenary, are available at R1 500 per person.
