One picnic basket contains enough for two people, including a bottle of Chameleon wine and Jordan spring water as well as freshly baked, wood-fired vegetable focaccia and Cape seed loaf to be enjoyed with a selection of charcuterie, including Italian Coppa, South African biltong and salami Napoli and locally produced hard and soft cheeses like Camembert, Brie, Stanford and Boerenkaas, Jordan olives and homemade Thai chicken pâté, garlic aioli, beetroot and orange chutney, mixed herbs and piquanté pepper spread, and a compound butter, jewelled tabbouleh salad with smoked chicken, roasted nuts with citrus dressing, and honey and lime pineapple skewers served with cilantro. Finish your meal on a sweet note with the Chef’s patisserie of the day.
The cost per basket is R645, including wine.
Kids can enjoy their own basket of cheesy pizza-inspired beef sausage roll, pineapple and maple glazed bacon skewer, a packet of crisps and a juice box, layered yoghurt and fruit jar with cookie and fudge crumble and a giant cookie for R125.
