On Wednesday 14 August, The Southern Sun Waterfront hotel hosted us to a Mystery Box Dinner with Tsogo Sun celebrity chef and MasterChef SA judge, Benny Masekwameng. MCSA finalist, Kamini Pather, also attended and together we enjoyed a four-course meal prepared by the hotel’s executive Chef, Martin Chetty.

Tsogo Sun – official sponsor of Master Chef South Africa – is bringing the exciting Mystery Box Challenge you have seen on TV to their diners. A mystery box is on display at the entrances of selected Tsogo Sun hotel restaurants intended to challenge the creativity, skill and versatility of Tsogo Sun’s chefs. They will have to use the contents of the box to create a special main course dish to be paired with a Nederburg wine.
But it doesn’t end there.
You will have the chance to judge the dish that has been created and possibly win five nights of luxury at the Beverly Hills hotel in Umhlanga including dinner, bed and breakfast for two, as well as a dinner prepared by Benny Masekwameng. The promotion is available every Monday – Friday.
