Summary: Restaurant Week South Africa returns from 25 September to 1 November 2026, with more than 200 restaurants across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, the Winelands and Durban preparing exclusive Restaurant Week menus and dining experiences. VIP reservations open on 14 September, giving early access to the full restaurant line-up, menus and tables before wider reservations begin.
Restaurant Week South Africa is almost back, which means the annual debate over how many restaurant bookings can reasonably fit into a few weeks is about to begin again.
Running from 25 September to 1 November 2026, the upcoming edition will feature more than 200 restaurants around South Africa, each creating exclusive menus or dining experiences specifically for Restaurant Week.
The full line-up is still under wraps, but the first names already make a strong case for keeping a few dates free.
- In Cape Town, the early list includes Club Kloof, COY, De Tafel Restaurant, Shoreditch Restaurant and Terrarium.
- Johannesburg diners can look forward to Marble, Nine Lives, MAMASAMBA, SIGNS and AURUM, while Pretoria’s first announced participants include Brasserie de Paris, O’Geet, Annam Viet Cuisine, Prosopa and Amazon.
- The Winelands sneak peek features MERTIA, Post & Pepper, Chorus, DUSK and QUARTZ, while The Chefs’ Table and Rockets Beach Club are among the first Durban restaurants confirmed.
And that is only the beginning.
VIP reservations open on 14 September 2026. VIP guests will be among the first to see the complete participating restaurant list, browse the menus and secure preferred tables. Sign up here to receive early access!
Restaurant Week has traditionally been structured around limited-time set menus created specifically for the campaign, with reservations made through the official Restaurant Week South Africa website. Seats at individual restaurants are limited. The current official site also confirms the upcoming 25 September to 1 November edition.
This is firmly a save-the-date moment. With more than 200 restaurants involved and some serious names already confirmed, the difficult part may eventually be deciding which table gets booked first.
