What is happening at Truffles on the Park for Restaurant Week?

Something delicious is coming to Johannesburg as Restaurant Week South Africa runs from 25 September to 1 November 2026, bringing exclusive menus to more than 200 of South Africa’s most exciting restaurants.

The campaign offers two-course lunches from R195 and three-course dinners from R295, giving diners an opportunity to discover somewhere new, revisit an old favourite or finally try a restaurant that has been on the list.

  • For those looking for a little greenery with their dinner, Truffles on the Park offers a rather appealing escape from the city. Set within the leafy surroundings of Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton, the contemporary botanical bistro is presenting its Botanical 3-Course Dining Experience for R695 per person during Restaurant Week. Book your table now!

The experience is available Monday to Sunday, with guests choosing a starter, main course and dessert. An optional wine pairing is available on request, adding another layer to the botanical-inspired dining experience.

The starter selection gets things underway with Truffle Burrata, pairing torn burrata with slow-roasted tomato, black truffle honey, basil oil and toasted flatbread. Seared Diver Scallops come with cauliflower purée, brown butter, crispy pancetta, lemon herb dressing and toasted breadcrumb.

For a distinctly South African option, Springbok Carpaccio features thinly sliced springbok with whipped feta, preserved lemon, mint oil, crushed pistachio and aged balsamic.

Mains continue the mix of seasonal ingredients and creative combinations. Mediterranean Line Fish features the catch of the day, pan-seared and served with saffron and fennel sauce, crushed baby potatoes, charred tenderstem broccoli, olive relish and crispy capers.

Pressed Lamb Shoulder is slow-braised and pressed, then served with harissa glaze, celeriac and potato purée, charred baby carrots and pickled shallot. The Feta & Herb Stuffed Chicken Breast combines free-range chicken with feta, sun-dried tomato and spinach, accompanied by saffron potato purée, charred tenderstem broccoli and lemon herb sauce.

Dessert brings three more tempting choices. Olive Oil & Citrus Cake comes with blood orange curd, whipped mascarpone, candied fennel and extra virgin olive oil. Deconstructed Baklava combines crisp filo pastry with honeyed walnut and pistachio praline, orange blossom mascarpone and cinnamon custard sauce.

Then there is Pistachio Affogato, where espresso is poured tableside over pistachio ice cream, crushed almond biscuit and hazelnut liqueur cream.

The setting is an important part of the Truffles on the Park experience, with the restaurant describing its approach as a light and dynamic kitchen where fresh produce and herbs are carefully sourced. Its focus on botanical flavours and drinks complements the surrounding parkland, making the Restaurant Week menu feel particularly at home in its leafy Sandton setting.
