What is happening at Marble for Restaurant Week?
Something delicious is coming to Johannesburg. From 25 September to 1 November 2026, more than 200 of South Africa’s most exciting restaurants will be serving exclusive Restaurant Week menus.
Diners can enjoy two-course lunches from R195 and three-course dinners from R295, with each restaurant creating its own menu to surprise and delight. It is the perfect excuse to discover somewhere new, revisit an old favourite or finally try that restaurant that has been sitting on the list.
- For those heading to Marble, the experience is firmly centred around one of the restaurant’s defining features: cooking with fire. Chef David Higgs’ Flame-Grilled 3-Course Lunch brings together open-flame cooking, South African flavours and Johannesburg views for R495 per person. Book your table now!
Available Monday to Sunday for lunch only, the Restaurant Week menu offers a choice of starter, main course and dessert. It is a concise three-course experience, but the menu packs in plenty of flavour.
The starters include Grilled Game, served with wood-fired flatbread, tzatziki, chermoula and tomato and lemon verde. Fire Roasted Chicken Arancini combines smoked chicken, Parmesan risotto, charred corn salad, tomato relish and coriander aioli. For a vegetarian option, Roasted Heirloom Beetroot comes with smoked labneh, blood orange, apple, walnut dukkha and herb leaves.
The mains continue the flame-focused approach. Grilled Seabass is paired with blistered tomato and olive, charred spring onion, basil mash, feta crumb and orange gremolata. Beef Fillet Churrasco brings 180g of beef fillet with potato crisps, black garlic and truffle aioli, roast pickled onion, rocket and chimichurri. The vegetarian Barley Risotto combines roasted miso poached pear, shiitake mushroom, coconut and fennel.
Dessert keeps things playful. Passionfruit Pavlova comes with mango mousse, passionfruit gel, meringue, passionfruit glass, and mango and yuzu sorbet. Alternatively, the Ice-Cream Sandwich combines milk and cookies, chocolate chip cookie dough, milk gel and cookies and cream parfait.
The result is a Restaurant Week menu that puts Marble’s fire-led cooking at the centre of the experience while giving guests a choice of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes across the three courses. Restaurant Week VIP bookings open from 14 September 2026, with bookings available via restaurantweek.co.za
