I love spending time at markets – trying, tasting, and meeting new producers. Every now and then I really want to get my hands on something different, but really don’t feel like leaving the house. That is where Fine Food Portfolio kick-in. They have collaborated with producers of exceptional local and international food and beverage brands, to bring top quality products to your door. From flavoured salts to olive oil, oysters to champagne, ready-made frozen meals to spices and dips – they have a wide range of products so that every shopping experience is unique.
What is the Fine Food Portfolio??
My husband and I are both chefs and lovers of locally produced food and drink. As frequent visitors to food markets around Cape Town and having started a small food business ourselves in 2011, which produced and sells high-quality ready meals under the name POW! Food – we know how difficult it is to expose your brand on a limited budget.
In collaboration with our families “The Fine Food Portfolio” was born. Our aim is to bring together a range of local small producers of “gourmet” food and beverage products under one distribution, marketing and sales network while allowing each company to retain their unique brand identity. We have 27 companies, collectively producing over 300 products – each featured in our hard-copy portfolio as well as on our website. Some products are exclusive to Fine Food Portfolio and cannot be found on any shop shelves in South Africa.
You can place an order via telephone, email, the web or with one of our consultants (who will drive to you requested location) and the products will be delivered within 24hrs.
We also run a catering section showcasing our products, as well as a gift and picnic basket service. Our delivery service focuses on the Western Cape region, but non-perishables can be sent nationwide.
THE FINE FOOD PORTFOLIO will be published and distributed annually, and will eventually include producers of fine food and beverages from all over South Africa.
