Market Day and a Movie Under the Stars at Park Square Umhlanga

Park Square Umhlanga is kicking off its first Market & Movie Night of 2026 with a format that keeps things simple and well-paced.

On Friday, 10 April, the evening starts with a relaxed market atmosphere before easing into a family-friendly outdoor screening of How to Train Your Dragon.

It is designed to be flexible. Arrive early, take your time, and settle in when it suits you.

  • From 4pm, the space fills with vendors offering a mix of food and treats. There is no rush. Guests can browse, eat, and ease into the evening without needing a set plan. It is casual, social, and built around the idea that good food and a bit of movement make the movie part even better.

The movie begins at around 7:30pm, with How to Train Your Dragon bringing a familiar, feel-good close to the night. Guests are encouraged to bring camping chairs and blankets, turning the viewing into a comfortable, picnic-style setup under the evening sky.

With free entry, a steady flow from market to movie, and something for all ages, this is the kind of event that does not need much convincing. Show up early, eat well, find a good spot, and let the evening unfold.
